A New Brick and Mortar Store with a Comprehensive Range of Environmentally Friendly Solutions

Opening the hundredth Castorama store is the result has shown the ambition to be close to the customers. Market want to play the role of a good neighbor and offer comprehensive support in material supply as well as improving living conditions. Store layout

Castorama Piaseczno has 9,000 square meters of retail space, 3,600 square meters of warehouse space, and an outdoor garden area of ​​1,100 square meters. Customers will find 4 design zones: kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes, as well as a novelty in the network’s offer – a balcony and terrace arrangement service.

The store offers 45,000 products for furnishing, renovation, and construction of homes and gardens. Among them is a wide range of environmentally friendly solutions. Visitors to the store can use the Castorefill device, which allows refilling bottles with Sidolux Eco cleaning agents, reducing plastic consumption in households.

As the network boasts, in the newly opened store, customers can count on the support of experts in energy efficiency, who will help in choosing products helpful in thermal modernization, i.e., proper insulation of the building, and improving the energy efficiency of the home and apartment. They are also to provide comprehensive assistance in filling out applications under the government program “Clean Air,” as well as at every subsequent stage of obtaining financing for this purpose and finding subcontractors.

Corporate social impact

Castorama Piaseczno’s new store is built with sustainable solutions, including a heat pump and a 2,000 cubic meter rainwater tank. It is also adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels. Currently, 55 Castorama stores produce their own green energy, which is equivalent to the full demand of two full-format stores in the network. By the end of 2024, all stores will have this type of technology installed.

As part of the opening, Castorama initiated a charitable project for the local community called “Together Better.” Customers of the hundredth store can vote for organizations whose facilities require renovation. The company, in cooperation with the Municipal Family Assistance Center, has selected three facilities that will receive support. The project that receives the most votes will receive financial support of PLN 50,000. The second and third places will receive PLN 20,000 each.
